Yeeeeh, mine is at least 5 years old, I think. I also have the problem with springs, and sometimes find it really uncomfortable. :| I'll be moving out at some point (still waiting for my supported housing) so I figured I'd just wait until then, when I could just get a double bed and a very nice mattress. It seems pointless spending heaps on a nice mattress, now, when it may or may not get used for long.
