As for all other sites being bad, I feel offended, I run a small and cozy site since 2002 and we have never really wronged anyone. The problem is that people WANT big places but they don't want the effect of a big place. They want the coziness of a small place but the activity level of a big place.

Didn't mean to offend. I'm sure, it wasn't your place, for me. I didn't mean for my agreement to sound like a generalization. It was point of view, perspective. After 6 years in a place, hard to say, what Indie mentioned, doesn't happen in 'some' of the other places. Sometimes, there's behind the scene politicking. I'm sure, I rubbed someone a little wrong, there. It felt 'personal', for it's own reasons.
To me, here, feels like a system of checks and balances.
