What I found I thought would be interesting, and perhaps helpful to some here:

Everytime I have updated my Java (especially for here, for chat) it DOESN"T JUST UPDATE the old...but INSTALLS a complete Java with the update.

Go to Start, click Control Panel, click Add/Remove Programs and view your listing. I found four (4) Java programs with updates, so I kept the one with the latest update included (#10) and removed the other Java programs! Ah ha! more speed
