Yes, it is when your body isn't making enough insulin to digest the glucose in your blood stream so in return it raises the levels of blood sugar but if you're insulin resistance as in my case the insulin may be enough or some times more than enough like 30 units(normal range is 25 but some doctors prefer for 10) which is too high then it means that your insulin is not working properly or is malfunctioning so your body is trying to make more to assimilate the glucose lurking in your blood stream. So, insulin resistance is another cause of diabetes. Yes, Type II diabetes.
