Um...yea. It's basically no heat. The stove works because it's gas, so we use it to heat the kitchen. Cold showers too.
We prep by having lots of kerosene, lots of batteries, lots of blankets, do all of the laundry, make sure there is plenty of bottled water, candles, lighters, cash (atms won't work, banks are closed), fill vehicles with gas, fill rx's, portable pet supplies, dried goods/easy to prep goods, etc. We have a "hurricane kit" as do most people here.
