After taking Lithium for 6 months my son decided to stop because of some bad side effects that he just realized were caused from the Lithium. He was having very severe psychosis symptoms. The Dr. did not think it was related to the Lithium so he perscribed Risperadone. It did nothing at all. He accidentally missed 3 doses of Lithium and realzed the symptoms were better. So he stopped taking both meds. Depression is very bad. Will it get better in time? He said the psychosis is far worse than any symptom he has ever had.
