Hi couch. Been a while since I have been on. I had jury duty all day on Tuesday. Then I went to work on Wednesday only to get sick midday and leave early. Called doc but they couldn't fit me in until the next morning. Went to dr Thursday morning and ended up with a sinus infection. He told me I should feel better in 72 hours once the antibiotic kicked in. I went home and slept the rest of the day. Woke up the next morning and still felt horrible, so I stayed home again. Thank God I have over 200 hours of sick time saved up over the years. I am feeling much better today. I should be able to go back to work on Monday, especially since I still have tomorrow to rest.
I hate being sick. But I think everyone does. I blame the hot cold hot cold hot cold from one day to the next as the cause of me getting sick.
The only thing that kind of "bugs" me about the new PCP I have been seeing is how he addresses me. He is only 39 and he addresses me with terms as if he were my grandparents age. Either that or extremely southern, but he went to school in ny and maine, so it's not a southern thing causing it.
The first time I was in for followup to the uti after being in urgent care, he called me "sweetie". When I was in for the nausea and sore throat about 2 weeks ago, he referred to me as "my dear". And when I was in there on Thursday, he called me "hun". I've never had someone so young use those terms with me. And I have never had a doctor use those terms to address me. It just seems a little odd to me. But maybe he is just trying to be friendly. I dunno.
Well, my phone is about to die so I better go charge it.
I hope everyone has a decent rest of the weekend.
