I have looked at this thread a million times it seems like.I wasnt able to write about my role model until and i am still not sure i cant type this without crying.

My role model is my neighbor. She is a beautiful mom of 4 young kids. She is a mom who is fighting for her life. She is dieing of breastcancer turned liver cancer. She is a woman that is one of my best friends. i have to admit that when i first met her I wasnt sure i would ever be here friend. She was very straight forward, tell it like it is.
So bold, so loud! Even down right bossy! never the less I took a chance and got to know her. It will never be a choice i will ever regret!

I called her crazy, she said she was fine, but three days after having a masectomy to remover cancer from her breast the crazy woman was outside push mowing her yard. She said she had to cause no one else would. I told her she shouldnt be doing that and she just laughed and said, I am great!
needless to say my husband took her mower away from her and he mowed the yard for her.

Soon she would lose her hair. IT didnt stop her. she just wrapped her head in a bandana tied over a blonde wig and moved on. Whenever I would ask her how she was she would just laugh and say I am great!
The breast cancer was gone. her hair grew back and she was so proud of her fuzz, she even called me over to her house to help her bleach what fuzz she had!!! ( i told you she was crazy)
Then the unthinkable happened... the cancer came back. This time in her liver. I will never forget the words she said to me... and she said them with a smile! I will not give up! I will fight until I cant anymore!
She told the doctors to make sure she got to see her youngest start kindergarten. guess what she made it!

I have to say that she is my role model, because even with the hand she has been delt, she never sat in cried in self pity. She always had the attitude of I am going to beat this!

We have spent many night swinging in the old porch swing on her back porch, Just talking, laughing! I always walked back home with a brighter out look on life! I always felt great about me!

If I learned anything at all from her is that no matter how bad the pain, no matter how bad you want to give up, you have the strength within in to keep going! She also taught me to laugh daily! It cleans the soul she would say! When things look grim, laugh!
