Yes, frequently. My T usually waits a bit to see if I can calm down on my own...if it starts to get worse, or I ask for help, she talks me through a breathing exercise or helps me to focus on something concrete or just calmly talks about something non-threatening. What my T does depends a lot on why I'm panicking and what I indicate that I need. Once, I couldn't break out of the thoughts that were panicking me, so she asked me to tell her about my dogs...that helped me that time. Once, I told T that I needed to not have the focus on me, so she looked away and gave me some space.
