Back from seeing my GP, and she seems to think I'm drinking too much (regular liquids) and that all the tea and Coke/Pepsi I'm drinking, is irritating my bladder, causing the problems I've been having (pain, discomfort, disrupted sleep, peeing a lot, struggling to pee, etc), alongside the anxiety. Basically, the anxiety keeps causing problems, physically, ... it's definitely not just a mental thing, anymore. Having "health anxiety" doesn't help, either.
I've FINALLY, after years of asking/wanting, been given anti-anxiety medication, but, unlike a lot of other meds, I can take these as needed (no more than 2 a day) which is awesome. The medication is called Propranolol, and apparently it's a low dose, to keep from getting things like nasty side-effects, which was a worry of mine, also, I don't want to be addicted or anything. It's a 40MG dose.
Any thoughts? Good idea, do you think? I think they're "beta blockers", or some form of it, that physically stop your body from being anxious, but I'm just guessing. I'll still be taking the herbal remedy, Kalms, but I'll use Propranolol as a sorta ace up my sleeve.
Has anyone got any good/bad experiences with Propranolol? I'd just Google it, but I don't want to get myself all worked up over nothing, so I figure real experiences would better help me.
