I'm 27. I did self-harm for 5 or more years. I stopped about 4 years ago, and haven't looked back, since, ... OK, that's a lie, I've looked back (with contempt!) but I don't expect to never get urges ever again, and I've accepted that; it's still in the past. There are plenty of adults who self-harm, unfortunately.
