I do agree with you. I certainly don't like the idea of tarring all people with the same diagnosis with the same brush!
On the other hand, I have known a few people who have BPD who are extremely difficult to be around. I'm well aware that it isn't because they are "bad people" and that they've had experiences that have made things very difficult for them. However, they can act in ways that simply aren't acceptable, and it can actually be extremely hurtful for people around them.
I do think greater understanding of PDs is important and I think it would be nice if everyone remembered that people are individuals, not diagnoses. But I also think that "we" (people with PDs) should remember how difficult it can be for people around us as well.
