When I was looking for a T my PCP was part of the hospital I work for. She was not allowed to make referrals to Ts affiliated with the other hospitals in town. So she was SUPPOSED to refer me to somebody at the hospital I work at. I refused as I work with these people and didn't want to divulge very private things to. So she referred me to this T as she used to work with her at the other hospital. The T still works there but also has a private practice so she referred me to her private practice.

Had a very similar situation with Psych NP...Pretty much the only therapists in town (excluding the ones who work specifically with Medicare patients) works in my hospital. Refused seeing one for a long time...eventually did cave thought
