Could there be a new forum, called 'Children of Narcissistic Mothers?
A NPD parent inflicts their own kind of often covert abuse. A child can look well looked after with a 'perfect life' but secretly they are destroyed by a mother with out empathy. If any love is offered it is conditional.
My mother is a malignant narcissist.
A safe place to vent where others would understand would be good.
I have just seen the film, 'The Mystery Of Natalie Wood' on TV. Natalie's mother is a classic example of a narcissistic parent, that's what made me think a forum for this particular subject would be a good idea.
