Are you on linked in? You can join industry and local groups where people talk about stuff related and jobs are posted. I think there is a blue collar version of LinkedIn too. Probably not too many people on that yet.

Have you checked all the places jobs are posted including Craig's list and the workforce office. Workforce may have more entry level positions.

This is a weird one.... Kind of cutting edge. Ask something like "what is the best way to get an emt position after certified?" On quora. It's like yahoo answers but much more useful. I have seen people ask questions like that for other industries. And there are a lot of experts.
