Well I don't know about the friend you just lost, but it seems to me that someone who would get drawn into a "me or her" kinda fight is (1) really immature, like 12-year-old immature and (2) not a good friend in the first place. From what I do know, the first friend you lost was not a trustworthy nor a very caring person.

I know that doesn't ease your pain, though. And I'm sorry for what you're going through!
