A friend of ours (more my husband's friend than mine) lost his wife last year. He is here for an extended stay and things are already contentious between him and my husband. This guy likes to turn the conversation to politics, my husband joins in, and inevitably the conversation gets dark because they disagree on many issues.

I realize this is not my stuff and that it is between them but I just need to say I am uncomfortable. It's going to be a long visit.
