I've been talking to a recruiter about a position on and off for a couple weeks. She rewrote my resume. Told me they were accepting applications. Then she tells me they did a staff reorg and would be looking at resumes over the next 4-6 weeks! They had a similar job advertised so I asked her if that was the same one. I also half joked that I hope I am not looking in 4-6 weeks. She said I got you covered. Let's just wait. What does she think... I'm gonna put all my eggs in this job?! Most recruiters know you can't just do that so they will consider you for other companies. They still get a commission! She seems daft.

Definitely keep perusing other positions. It'll help keep you mind occupied and at a minimum you build your interviewing skills.
