I have been on disability due to my mental illness since I was 16. I have only had about 3-4 jobs of which none lasted more than two months. The first I had at the age of 15 and was sexually harassed and my mom wanted me to quit after two months. The second was a temporary summer job when I was 16 - also lasted two months. The third was another temporary job that lasted two months. I was 19 when I worked at that one. My fourth job I usually don't even count (I was about 24/25) because I was there less than a week an had to quit due to my depression and anxiety. I am currently 30 and now have completed an Associate of Arts Degree (online). I did have a GREAT GPA...3.75. Other than that I have no experience and am VERY socially anxious/uncomfortable. My passion lies with veterinary medicine...I want to work with animals. I also completed an online veterinary assistant program and would love to become a veterinary technician. I am so confused though on whether or not I should/could handle it. I cannot even handle going shopping and so I don't know how I could handle day-after-day working...but yet I so want to be able to work with animals. What is realistic?
