I've always been a big coffee drinker... Not in quantity but gotta every morning. It's more than a buzz thing. It's a ritual. I prefer making my own from beans. But always with cream and sugar. Except a couple months ago I stopped needing the sugar. I still need it in food but not 2 scoops. Now I switch between a latte with reg milk and no sugar and black coffee or caffe ole depending on what feel like. It's weird. I didn't intend it at all.
I wish I could use all the hot sauce I want! Had my fill and can't do it anymore
Michael Pollen wrote that ANY traditional diet in the world is healthy in that environment EXCEPT SAD (standard American diet). There are some diets that consist of almost no veggies and no fruits because they don't grow there. Those people are healthy.
Recommendations from places like nourishing traditions isn't about "food tips" or avoiding classes of foods. It's about whole foods including good fats and meat along with veggies and fruit. It's about balance, not deprivation unless you are really in love with preservatives, colorings, corn and antibiotic fed beef. I mentioned gut problems to the op who said she would like to avoid meds if she can. You made some sort of statement about how that only applies to anxiety. I responded with an article that shows more than anxiety can be helped which I find, btw, to be common sense given what is definitively known about the gut. The advice really wasn't for you, sewer. I already know you won't read a bit of it. You've already decided what is valid and what isn't. No amount of evidence or common sense is going to change that.
