Just my two cents in- keep track of what you eat before these episodes happen. You may have a "sensitivity" to something in the food you eat - such as Chinese food with MSG, certain candy and cookies-, I know that some cookies I eat will set my heart racing! And before I forget- do you eat bananas? A banana before bed may help you sleep, too many bananas can set your heart to racing. After all that, if this continues, worsens, or becomes more frequent ( of course consult your doctor) but it may be a hyper-active thyroid- this will cause elevated pulse, blood pressure, and heart racing-lie symptoms.
Thanks for this!
