You didn't **** up. You made a mistake that lots of people make.
That said, I would let that relationship go, mentally, physically and emotionally. Easier said than done, but I can promise that you WILL get over this guy.
I think it's time for you to make your own well-being a priority and if a relationship happens, then it's a bonus for you.
