Mental illness takes a toll on a family. It IS hard, when your child is suffering. You'd like to "fix it" and make it better. It can be very stressful, and it certainly does bring lots of heartache, and a lot of other feelings like depression, guilt, helplessness, etc. I don't know how one could NOT be affected when it concerns someone you love.

most days im okay. It just builds up and when she is havng symptoms that last a long time it gets hard. But I will be okay after getting some sleep.
My breakdowns tend to be intense but last for just a short while.
My husband is permanently disabled too. And its winter. All a recipe for disaster.
