Except I haven't really lost any family I was close to, so I can't compare my depression to that feeling. It's not really better or worse in the morning and I get to sleep late and wake up early so not sure what 2 hours early would be...I usually wake up two hours before I want to though.

A major depressive episode can have any of those features.
I think the "two hours early" thing is just a rough estimate; other sources I've seen just describe melancholic depression as "decreased sleep", "insomnia", "trouble falling or staying asleep", etc.
Also, you don't have to have all the bullet points to qualify for a major depressive episode with _____ features.
