Hi

I need some drastic advice, I’m a 22 year old male and I think I’ve got anxiety, it all began about 3 years ago when I took some of my friends “tranxene” tablets and it made me feel better in a way, more relaxed and less worried about normal things that a normal person shouldn’t worry about – I think if one must explain anxiety and feeling anxious this is the best way?

About a year ago I went onto Alprozolam (Alzam) 1.0 Mg that was prescribed by a psychologist for one month. She did some tests and said I suffer from anxiety and depression… I couldn’t get more prescriptions so I got alprazolam on the “black market” and over the internet (rx systems) etc. I used Azor/Tafil/Alzam/Merck/Xanor etc.

I’m currently on 2Mg alprazolam (Azor) per day and it’s worrying me because I know the warnings on all Benzodiazepines and all anxiety drugs, I’ve been on Alprozolam for about one year now and I would say that I’m addicted. I seeked medical help and they told me that no other replacement drugs are available to help you get of Alprozolam and it’s only a short term drug and shouldn’t be used for more than 3 months? Some people say that I must slowly lower my dosage and I’ve also tried that but with no luck.

I don’t want to be 30 and take 6Mg per day because my body is building up a tolerance against this drug and I also don’t want to quit this drug because it really helps me a lot!!!

Any advice on my situation would be appreciated!

Thanks
