I think you should talk to the new doc if your insurance will pay for it. Tell him all your concerns and see what he says. If the insurance will pay then maybe you could see him a few times before you decide on changing doctors. I don't know how the insurance works so you should maybe ask your dad to help you with that. Tell him you want him to be sure it will pay the bill so that you don't get billed and have a big bill to pay out of pocket. Maybe your dad can also check with your disability and see how it would be affected if you change doctors. I know you don't want to lose your disability payments. I know your dad is busy working but maybe he could make those two calls for you. You do have a big decision to make here. Only you can decide which doctor would be the best for your situation.
