It's kind of ridiculous and funny in a sad way that the DSM used to include homosexuality as a disorder, before BPD was officially put in. I'm not gay, but I have gay friends, and the past inclusion of homosexuality as a DSM "disorder" shows that almost anything can be falsely "medicalized" and labeled as a pathology. All it takes is for dumb psychiatrists to get together and come up with a list of symptoms
Sorry this is kind of naughty of me and off-topic. No offense intended; just thought some people might be interested. This example is one of many reasons why I place little value in the DSM.
