Really got to pay attention, to usage, when on it. For me, is the anxiety, physically manifested(mainly heart palpitations), or is it merely a stress moment, that I can just use coping skills to overcome? It's a conscious decision, to take one or not. Sure, I've got five refills between now and late July, at 45 pills a bottle, doesn't mean I have to take them all, nor refill five times between now and then, either. The only 'feel good',, I get, is alleviating the symptoms of anxiety, not to pop my worries/life stresses away, if that makes sense.
Sounds like there could have been negligence, on your moms prescribing dr., in my mind, because back in '07/'08,, when I landed in hospital with full blown panic attack, my script was 10 pills. Never had another xanax script, until this past July.
