Yeah, I got a lot of scars too on my body and legs- same reason (hands were mine place
). When hospitalized in my teens for SUI I got a doc who asked me if she could touch them. I said no way, felt really weird. I myself hate to touch them even accidentally- you know how numb they feel from the nerve damage? I guess she was trying to emphasize... so maybe it does happen? Sorry, that's the best I can offer. I don't know personally anybody who did it.
