My advice would be to try now while it is still early to see a Pdoc and slowly have the benzo medication reduded and try to find a replacement(s) for the treatment of anxiety. Have you tried Buspar? I think it is not addictive.

I have absolutly no room to talk when it comes to this as when I was 21 years old I began taking diazapham (Valium) 5mg three times a day and it really helped.....Now 11 years later at the age of 32. I am taking 10mg of Valium four times a day.....I can admit I am totally phychologicaly and physically dependant on this drug and that my biggest fear is that of a Pdoc taking me off of it.....The medication itself has really got a hold of me now. I do not abuse it...though, after 11 years of taking it, I am more than likely taking a maitnance dose.

If there were a Methadone for benzo's I would be the perfect canidate for it.
