I completely agree with your comments, stopdog. Therapy might be helpful or useful for some but not for everyone. It is very possible for someone to not be helped in therapy and that doesn't automatically translate to a problem with the client.

LifeIsCruel-I'm sorry that the one person who was helpful for you is someone you can't meet with in a therapy setting. I know how frustrating and painful it is to try to find adequate help. Are you still looking for a therapist at this point? I hope you find the peace that you so deserve.
