I know it's tempting to keep using DXM but don't. My own abuse of it began in 2008 when I caught the flu. That's when I first felt the neat kind of high that comes with DXM. Over the next few years, I needed more and more. Soon enough, I was taking an entire pack of Cordicidin w/o the acetometaphan(sp?) to get wrecked. That's 16 30mg DXM pills all at once. Caused some brain damage to me and I was hospitalized. Nowadays, my epilepsy is worse, my coordination will never be the same and my bipolar sickness is worse. My body got to where it needed near-lethal doses to feel anything. My muscles were tense and I could barely walk or do basic tasks. When I had to fill the bathtub up with cold water and get in so I could cool the heat emanating from my brain stem. I was terrified at that feeling. I never wanted to feel like that again. I've been DXM-free since 2011 with the exception of only using it when I am actually sick and taking only the recommended dose. I heard somewhere it can cause lesions on your brain. Just please don't go down that road. Take it from someone who's been there. What I'm saying is that it is addictive so if you're like me and have issues with past drug addiction, this could be a problem.
