actually, this sensation is pretty common in real panic attacks...
some ppl don't narrow it down to the throat, but most all have some feeling that they can't breathe or swallow ....<font color=purple>
in recent past How to Ground Yourself type posts have made it to this forum... try going back a few months of posts here and see if you can find one...
I think IMHO that this will be a good place to start... grounding yourself in the here and now as best you can when you begin to feel panicky.(
Breathing slowly and fully is good, important.<font color=green>
I have true breathing problems, real allergies (anaphylactic too) and panic attacks... and even I have trouble telling them apart sometimes!
