I haven't tried online dating myself though I might try it at some point. One of my close friends tried it, and she met a nice guy with whom she's been in a relationship for several years. She also met a bunch of weirdoes before him! But she kept on trying and ultimately met her new love, and they're very happy together. I think they'll get married eventually. But it took her quite a while and she went through a bunch of scenarios where they sounded okay in writing but turned out to be freaks in real life. I guess that's just part of it.

Sorry it's such a drag. I'm single too and can sympathize with the fact that there aren't many single folks around. Most of my friends are in couples too. :-( I'll eventually try dating again though right now I'm not even up for it. :-(
