Effexor really isn't for everyone and it may help some but I have heard more bad than good about it. Don't go off cold turkey whatever you do, slowly go off, even if you have to take the pill apart and count the little dots. Effexor has terrible side effects coming off, i mean the worse I have ever experienced and I have been on many drugs throughout my life.

Some of what I experienced? Feeling hot and cold at the same time, sweating while being cold, shaking and shivering, brain zaps, nightmares, feeling nauseous all of the time, feeling so dizzy I could fall over, feeling like I am car sick and not in a car, head aches, crying spells and some suicidal thoughts. Not trying to scare you but make sure if you do go off talk to your doctor first and go off slowly, it took me two weeks to even feel slightly normal.
