The sh*! that our brains somehow believe ~ freaking amazing!!
Honey, SO MANY people here at PC care deeply about you. That's no exaggeration, either. I know that it isn't quite the same as having hot flesh besides yours that cares...but we all understand and care, don't we?
DBT was a wonderful experience for me. It is really hard to imagine not ever being allowed to follow such a helpful course of therapy. I don't understand the reasoning! However, there are thankfully, very helpful sites available online.

My absolute favorite! It really is great, and 100% free!

If you get to know a few blokes that are interested, maybe you could start your own group.

It simply takes lots practice and devotion to helping yourself feel better. Sounds simple, I know. But, we all know how tough it can be to shut our minds up for a little bit, and let ourselves just "be" in the moment. DBT group is what pounded the mission into my brain, lol! The absolutely largest task of DBT is getting to understand oneself. Being honest, being open about how you feel, and taking the power to stand up for oneself (in appropriate situations) is really a significantly smaller piece of the pie.
I believe that these things CAN be learned and practiced outside of the classroom. It just takes lots and lots of practice!

There are also lots of experienced people who are able and willing to share their wisdom ~ I'd take them up on it, if you can.
