I have many struggles and questions as a partner of a transgender person. My partner is FtoM transgender and hasn't started the medical process yet, but has notified all relatives, friends, and work. So he is called his male name at work and everywhere else and usually referred to as "him".

We started out as a lesbian couple and months into the relationship, I found out he was trans. It caused a lot of problems and intense fighting for about a year and a half. (there was a couple years worth of age difference and I was still pretty immature and did not understand fully). I was mad that he let me get so involved emotion-wise and never clued me in, even though he already knew this is what he wanted. I felt betrayed because I wanted to be with another woman, but I loved him so much.

Anyway, that's a summary of our story. Anyone else here have a transgender partner? What are your stories? I would be interested in PMing with someone who is in a similar situation or has experienced this before.
