I feel the same way! I hate having to be stuck in an office when the sun is shining, without anything important that has to be done right then. So much of paid work seems to be just passing time, having to be somewhere for no reason at all.

After ten years of working steadily, I took a year off. I got a job for nine months and quit that to take another year and a half off. I hope I can make self employment work because the thought of going back to the 9-5 routine gives me hives.
