Maybe it is not the right AD. I am ending Zoloft because it made me so tired. Took me a while to figure out it was the med because of what I was going through. I am big into sleep too but I don't like anything the "knocks me out". I attempt herbal and aromatherapy solutions first. A lot of people use to sleeping pills don't think they work but I can tell you they do. In fact there are studies showing chamomile works. Typically they only put you in a relaxed state and your body does the rest. Best if you develop a nightly ritual (another opportunity to practice mindfulness ). There are times when that is just not enough and I will resort to some sort of pill but since it is so rare I just use an OTC. In general I sleep too much which is why the Zoloft was probably a bad choice. I don't know if my story will help but maybe it will give you some ideas.

Also consider age and and things like caffeine intake. As I get older my ability to drink even an early afternoon caffeine beverage and expect a good nights sleep is decreased.
