Everyone's reaction can be different when going on and getting off of medication. But it is always recommended to slowly wean yourself off (i.e. getting a lesser dosage or by cutting pills in half). You body gets adjusted to certain chemical levels, and stops producing them naturally. When the change is abrubt, your body can kind of freak out or crash. But it is NOT THE CASE FOR EVERYONE, so don't get too anxious.
You should prepare though, or have a back up plan. Have a doctor on notice in case you need an emergency refill to be called in. Try to let the people close to you know that you might be extra-sensitive and could use their understanding and support.
Personally, I am very sensitive to chemical changes in my body. I thought I was fine on some medications (even pain killers after surgery), but it was stopping them that was dangerous for me. Very, very dangerous. I completely crashed. Hysterical over-reactions to simple things, and even boarder-line psychotic breaks. At first, it was very scary. Once I figured it out though, I could talk myself through them. It sounds... ridiculous, but to be honest, I had to think of it like a very bad "trip."

Telling myself that I was OK, and it will pass. It wasn't really dire and in a few hours or days, I would level out. But it was BAD for me. I avoid it at all costs now.
I hate to think of anyone else going through that if they don't have to.
Please, be careful and try to have a contingency plan if you can manage it.
