If you are employed right now, then you are most likely not going to get it, as the point of the process of qualifying for SSDI is to prove you cannot work. And reesecups is right; the more medical information you have to back up your case, the better.
I am currently waiting on my hearing and have a lawyer; in my state you always get denied before the hearing unless you are literally on your deathbed.
All of that being said, it is also an incredibly slow process in most cases...some states are faster than others, but none of it happens easily or quickly.
