Generally, when I'm feeling terrible I try to read, watch a movie, or play a video game and let it take me on an adventure so I don't have to really think anymore. Any sort of brain consuming activity works for me though I don't know how good of a coping strategy it really is haha. Being with people is great though. I feed off of other people's good vibes and so hanging out with friends and family helps too.
Sorry this post isn't all that helpful :/ Getting the emotions out on paper or in song is always great but I just like to take my mind off of it.

It's fine. It actually helped me a bit after realizing that I need to find a way to get my mind off of it in more ways. After a while, I'm sure that my coping methods will stop working, and I'll have to find more if I want to stay strong.
Thanks, and lots of love to you <3
