I'm on generic Venlafaxine (Effexor) it definitely afects my sleep. When I do sleep I get vivid dreams, other times unless I completely shut off the outside world, no cell phone, no laptop, no TV, no radio, no books etc. I just stay wide awake doing whatever I'm doing. Then in the daytime when I'm at work I'll just fall asleep at my desk and my head will drop forward and hit the desk. I also have to be really careful about driving because of that.

I've been on a few a/ds and some had no effect on sleep at all , trouble is they're the ones that poop out. Some made me sleep 23 hours a day for weeks on end. So Venlafaxine is somewhere in the middle.
