I tend to think the family is the victim here, but it is possible the hospital is right and the girl needs to be protected from them. It's likely we don't have all the information, and the hospital has to respect confidentiality rules whereas the parents don't. So the story isn't going to be completely even.
It is complicated but it's not like the parents are just doing this one their own they had two docs from tufts testify on their behalf so it's literally a battle between pdocs and normal docs...that's what makes it so bizarre I mean there certainly are cases of parents abusing their kids but apparently there are actual chemical tests for the physical findings it's just the disease is not well accepted.
