I have been diagnosed with it. Here in Europe (and I think most of the world) it is not a personality disorder (and I think it's plain silly to call it a PD). I also think it's a strange disorder, but it is definitely way besides the norm, and it can and does cause problems. It is genetically related to schizophrenia, it runs in families, and it is usually easy to detect. I don't think it is strange that someone would self-diagnose themselves with this.
