They didn't stop... it just slowly got better over time until they left me alone mostly, and I was an outcast (but at least not bullied.) My senior year in high school a fewp people appologized... but otherwise most of them just disappeared.
One of my bullies their dad was a friend of the family, and my dad went and talked to his dad. That kid in particular stopped but his friends got worse, so I know he told them and made it worse.
Middle school is a nightmare if you're the target...

Middle school. Exactly.
ya know, I told her that kids will make fun of your shoes, clothes, everything and anything. That it doesnt matter who you are, they will find something to pick on someone about. But stress brings on symptoms as you know. And she gets 'stuck' on things like this so this will be talked about by her for the next few months.
And she does say she is sick to stay home often. I just dont know what to do. She has not called back so I think the staff is handling it but I can see her going down hill. I dont want her back in the hospital.
Its bad enough for a healthy child to have these things happen but with her, it is heartbreaking as you know. Its too much.
I should have never let her get her hair cut. But I looked at her and she looked a mess. She doesnt take care of herself very well even though she thinks she looks good just because her socks match.
I dont want her to look messy all the time and it really is a cute haircut but it just gave the kids something to pick on her about because she went to school happy today with new hair and pants. She hasnt had new pants in months. I hate this. She has such a kind soul. She is beautiful on the inside. Never mean to anyone.
Still making phone calls....
