k. I talked to the nurse. She said by lunchtime when Bean went to see her for her noon pill she was better.
School social worker was in the nurses office at the time and Bean explained what happened. Social worker is not sure if kids were actually making fun of her or if it was just her being paranoid. She said Bean 'felt' them looking at her and laughing. Everyone in the hallway was laughing at her and she knew it was about her hair. She just knew it.
The social worker kind of gave her a reality check because not one person said anything mean about her hair to her.
All of the teachers and staff have complimented on her hair and reassured her that is is really a pretty cut (which it is) and it seemed to have calmed her down. I have not gotten a phone call from her since this morning which is unusual in a good way.
