I'm on this website, called tumblr. You follow a persons blog and see everything they write. Well, there is this girl. She is younger than me I'm pretty sure and she is absolutely HARMLESS. She constantly receives anonymous hate for no reason. To be completely honest, I think the people who send her hate are people she knows in school - found out her tumblr and bully her for it.

Well, she doesn't deserve it. I don't care if she might not even go through with it, this has to STOP.

I know what you're thinking. This girl should disable anonymous comments. She does get plenty of nice and reassuring comments, people defending her (like me), but...it doesn't work enough. I know hows she's feeling, it's when the bad remarks are so loud that they..cloud out any positive ones. Please, tell me what I can do to help her.

What can I call? I want to report the ones sending her hate but it's anonymous so, I don't know how to find out. They have told her to kill herself and she says she already has a date planned, and I want to stop this. I just don't know what to do. Where can I report this to? Could I make a call? Please tell me what to do, the poor girl needs help.

I mean its one thing she has mental issues but she's being bullied as well - I don't know how she puts up with this, and she doesn't even deserve it.

Please tell me what I can do. I know it's just the internet, but these are real people just the same. If she's not going to take measures against these people then I want to defend and help her.
unfortunately only this girl can do anything about being cyber bullied. heres why...the internet is this world wide media where people can be who ever they want to be how ever they want to be.

example child predators go on all kinds of websites making profiles that make them appear to be children looking for friends and help with all kinds of child teen age problems. law enforcement also go online to all kinds of websites pretending to be children and teens in hopes of catching these child predators.

another example psych central the rules here recommend no one use their real names and not to post any identifying information that could lead to those you dont want to know you come here to find you. add to that there are many posts here about people who have been found out so they have had to change their user names or delete their accounts and come back with a new account so their husbands, wives, children, siblings, abusers cant find them.

its just the way the internet works. since this so called child (I word it that way because without knowing who this child really is outside of the internet there is no way to verify whether this really is a child or an adult posing as a bullied child, for all we know this so called child could have more than one tumbler account building bulling around the main account to get other children and teens to gravitate to them, recently this kind of thing was what happened here in the city and how the cops caught a child molester)

look at your own profile, how is anyone here supposed to know who you are in your off computer life...they cant, unless you have access to tumblers administrative pages that may or may not list the persons IP address, possible real off internet name and location theres nothing you can do except maybe sending a complaint to tumbler. in which case maybe depending on tumblers policy of use rules these people are breaking the rules which would leave the door open for tumbler to shut down all the accounts and possibly this so called childs account too depending on what this so called child does on other peoples blogs.

I have found that when ever I have made a complaint on tumbler the rule of thumb is unless the account is passing porn or other illegal activities theres nothing they can do and a reminder that I dont have to visit blogs that are upsetting to me. they cant please everyone, each person is responsible for their own internet enjoyment. thats about all tumbler can do.
