I don't know how it is in the US but here the distiction is between pass/fail and have diploma/doesn't have it.

Nobody asked me about my grades in job interviews and nobody asked any of my friends either. In the end, grades are grades. They don't reflect your real abilities all that much. Just how much are you willing/able to sit on your *** and get ram ram ram.
