I was first diagnosed in 2000 (2001) as having cyclothymia and depression. At the time University of Colorado Psychiatric school was one of the best in the nation. I met with the big kahoona, he interviewed me, wrote a report, sent it back to my psychiatrist who was one of the best meds doc in the Denver area. Based on the report of psychlothimia he prescribed Effexor and Lithobid and Klonopin on occasion. In 2007 (maybe) I had a crisis, would not/could not crawl out of bed. I was self medicating with sudafed and red bulls to get some energy. The new PDoc rolled her eyes and gave me Wellbutrin. It worked for a while, but over the years I've had more downs than good.

Have any of you had a reassessment of your diagnosis? I think I'm due one. Medicine changes fast. How about a review of your meds? Again, I'm on the same protocol and my life has changed.

How would you go about requesting a reassessment?

Thanks for any information you can provide.
